Our Wedding

It all began with the simplest of gestures-a single "like" in February of 2023. With that click, TJ found Kathy, and the universe quietly set into motion a love story years in the making. To be honest, it took us way too long to finally meet. Life threw some obstacles in our path, and even once we connected, the road wasn't always easy. But no matter how uncertain things felt, we always came back to the connection we shared. We worked for it, and we held onto it-and we're so glad we did. Over time, we realized how many passions we have in common: music, travel, football, and especially anything that involves the water. Some of our happiest days are spent chasing sunsets, soaking up the view, and simply being together. In March of 2025, we took a huge step forward and started building our life together in a home on the water-a dream come true for both of us. The best part of our story, though, is the family and community that surrounds us. Between us, we share five amazing kids, two dogs, and a group of friends and family who have supported us from the beginning. You've shaped our journey more than you know, and we're beyond grateful for each of you. This wedding isn't just about the two of us. It's about celebrating love, resilience, laughter and all the people who've been part of the ride. We can't wait to celebrate this moment-and our future together-with you.

We’ll board the Vista Star at 6:00 PM, set sail at 6:30 PM, and enjoy a beautiful sunset cruise on Lake Superior.At 8:00 PM, we’ll share a short ceremony from the top deck as the sun sets, followed by an evening of music, dancing, and joy. We’ll return to the dock at 9:30 PM and continue the dance until 10:30pm.Please note: due to space, only 40 guests can join us on the top deck for the ceremony. Everyone else will enjoy the moment on screens available throughout the boat.Signature drinks and delicious food stations will be available all evening — so come ready to celebrate, relax, and make memories with us!Dress your comfort!

Dress is your comfort, sun dresses, jeans with a nice top for men is fine, if you'd like to dress up...please do, otherwise dinner attire is just fine! We are on a boat, most of the space is inside however Duluth weather can be unpreditable!

Duluth has an airport (DLH) with connections from Chicago and Minneapolis on United or Delta. MSP is 2.5 hours south of Duluth and can often be an affordable travel option with additional airline service. Canal Park, on the shores of Lake Superior is a destination for travelers visiting MN. Check out https://canalpark.com/ for things to do. The hotel's we recommended are all in the Canal Park region and in walking distance to the Vista Star.
